Centerstage Gala | Dallas Theater Center

On Saturday, May 4, 2024 Dallas Theater Center’s annual fundraising event, CENTERSTAGE 40: A BRAND NEW DAY, will take place at Fashion Industry Gallery (F.I.G.) in the Dallas Arts District.

The highly anticipated fête will mark the 40th year for the annual Centerstage gala, as well as the 65th anniversary for the Dallas Theater Center organization. The cabaret-jazz-inspired evening of multimedia and fine dining will include a cocktail reception highlighting many of the Public Works education and community engagement programs and featuring the Diane & Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company, followed by a seated dinner and program, vibrant live auction & paddle raise, and ending with a musical performance by a celebrated Broadway star.

The evening will also celebrate the 65 years of producing incredible work on and off stage and the community that makes it possible. And it is with great pride that on the night, the 2024 Linda and Bill Custard Award will be given to The Donna Wilhelm Family Philanthropy Fund recognizing the steadfast, thoughtful and tailored support to the DTC.

More exciting announcements are to come for the upcoming CENTERSTAGE 40 event including the announcement of the featured Broadway performer, luxury raffle experiences, and more. Funds raised from Centerstage make it possible for DTC to continue the inclusive and creative work of our organization. Join us!

As Dallas Theater Center enters its 65th year, we continue to produce innovative, dynamic programming making a significant impact on the Dallas community as well as the American theater at large. From classic scripts to new works, from epic to intimate, DTC provides a next-level experience to theater lovers worldwide. Additionally, since 1986, programs including Project Discovery have allowed over 265,000 students and teachers to experience the finest in live, professional theater, many of whom may not have had this opportunity if it weren’t for these educational program offerings. Through the Department of Public Works, DTC partners with community-based organizations, schools and government to invite people of all ages to take theater classes, attend performances and events, and join in the creation of ambitious works of participatory theater.

Funds raised from CENTERSTAGE make it possible for DTC to continue this inclusive and important work.

We need your help in making sure that the next 65 years are just as innovative and impactful!
