DEVELOPMENT

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Dallas Theater Center (DTC), a non-profit professional theater in residence at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, seeks a results-oriented, dynamic and experienced Director of Development. The Director of Development will lead relationship management for DTC, engaging, cultivating, and stewarding a passionate community of supporters invested in our mission and programs. This role is responsible for planning and supervising the theater’s solicitation and collection of all contributed revenue, including cultivation and benefit-fulfillment activities. The Director will manage a three-person team engaged in donor-centered and community-based fundraising activities in support of the annual development plan. Constituents include individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. The position reports directly to the Chief Advancement & Revenue Officer.

MANAGER OF CORPORATE RELATIONS

The Manager of Corporate Relations reports to the Director of Development and is a front-line fundraising position responsible for the solicitation and stewardship of all corporate partners (pre-pandemic portfolio of 50-60 valued at approximately $725,000; current portfolio of 25 valued at $600,000). Responsibilities include researching prospect companies, developing sponsorship and corporate gift proposals and/or grant applications, directly soliciting corporate contributions and sponsorships, planning and executing corporate events for sponsors, and creating and submitting final reports. The person in this position is responsible for recruiting new corporate donors and increasing the total contributions from corporate donors in alliance with DTC’s strategic plan. This position works directly with DTC artistic, education, and administrative staff, as well as members of the Board of Trustees.

MARKETING

TESSITURA DATABASE MANAGER

The Tessitura Database Manager is a key member of the Marketing and Development Departments that provides essential support for all Dallas Theater Center departments in their use of Tessitura. This position supports DTC’s in-house Box Office, Marketing Department, Development Department and Finance Department in their collection, use and analysis of customer data. The focus for the Tessitura Manager is to work with various administrative teams to provide and update information necessary to run all aspects of ticketing services. The ideal candidate will use Tessitura to analyze and report on all sales data, will manage all system setup for both box office, season ticket, single ticket, and online donations and sales, and will maintain database integrity and provides constituent data for the purposes of research, marketing, and donor cultivation. Working with all administrative departments, the Tessitura Database Manager is responsible for overseeing the training of all internal DTC Tessitura users and keeps the organization and users up to date on all new features and upgrades of the Tessitura software and network. Previous experience with Tessitura network required.

This role has the option of being fully remote. The candidate will be expected to make quarterly trips to the Dallas Theater Center offices and venues.

MARKETING MANAGER

The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Marketing Department. This position plays a key role in the overall earned revenue goals by developing and implementing advertising and promotional campaigns. The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing media placement, budget, content and production for all print, digital, broadcast and out of home advertising and social media. This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications. This role will have a hybrid work schedule, with the option to work remotely Monday and Friday and required to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday.

PRODUCTION

Lead Audio Engineer

An active member of Dallas Theater Center (DTC)’s Production Department, the Lead Audio Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing the aural experience of each of our productions. The Lead Audio Engineer reports directly to the Head of Audio, and is responsible for effectively supporting sound designers, ensuring that high artistic standards are always met. An ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong background in mixing for live theater, is experienced with installation and strike logistics, and feels comfortable working on multiple simultaneous projects. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which is eligible for overtime. Some nights and weekends will be required as needed throughout the season.
